Peter Canoni and his crew had a great day of fishing off Provincetown yesterday. Lots of hungry Striped Bass action and tons of smiles…what a beautiful day to fish on Cape Cod
I went fishing with my Dad for the first time when I was 5. He claims we caught fish. However, what I remember most is just his company and the smiles. As we approach Father’s Day, the Stripers are cooperating with huge schools of bass off the usual spots near Race Point, Provincetown. Make some memories of your own this Fathers Day!
It’s no secret that June is one of the best months to catch large Stripers off the coast of Truro and Provincetown. This weekend saw a fleet of boats from as far away as Plymouth to our fishy shores. All seemed to catch their limit as the weather and fish cooperated. Hurley sand eel soft baits and small green tail Ava jigs seems to be the lure of choice so far.
School Stripers are now spread out from Long Point light in P-town all the way to Race Point Rip. Large schools of sand eels are keeping the bass busy. Most fish caught on Ava jigs to 3 oz with green tail and Hurley sand eel soft baits. June is the best month for stripers, call today to get in on the action!
As we head into Memorial Day weekend, reports of large Striped Bass being caught off Truro and Provincetown have taken center stage.
Our first trip of the season was to Stellwagen Bank where we caught our limit of Haddock…
