Yesterday we went all over God’s creation looking for Striped Bass for Birthday boy Mark. He had a grand time with his wife Crystal, enjoying the boat ride and my history lesson on the outer Cape. What was lacking however, was a nice slug of fish. We stayed out 1 1/2 hours longer than usual. Our reward was one fish that a seal promptly pilfered. We worked hard and had little to show for it. Our trepidation this morning was palpable. But, much like the weather, conditions change, which in turn changes the fishing. Carl and Peder Hagberg along with their crew of boys had the time of their lives casting to surface feeding Stripers. The weather changed overnight and strong winds and waves kept most boats at the dock. We were rewarded with a great day….after a bad day. You never know!
