Captain Joe and I had a truly memorable and rewarding 2016 season. Our clients caught some of the largest Bass in our 10 years of charter fishing. The Bluefish run in August was nothing short of fantastic. We had the pleasure of many returning fishermen, sprinkled with a healthy dose of first time charterers looking to round out a vacation with a memorable day on the water. Thank you all for your patronage and we hope that we may have the privilege of earning your business in 2017.
Late May and the entire month of June has some of the best Striped Bass fishing of the season on the outer Cape. The fish migration North from the Chesapeake and Hudson River will have brought large schools of hungry fish to an area around Race Point in Provincetown. Mackerel and Herring are the bait of choice. We live-line these offerings on light tackle spinning outfits and catch some of the largest Stripers of the year. June and early July offer the added bonus of awesome early morning top-water action. If you are willing and able to schedule an early departure, (4:30 – 5:00) you might be rewarded with Stripers exploding on surface poppers or large soft baits. On the way out from the scenic Pamet harbor in Truro, you’ll witness some of the most spectacular sunrises I have ever seen.
It’s never too early to schedule your trip. Don’t hesitate to call or email Capt. Joe with any questions you might have. Schedule a trip aboard the Nauset, and make some fishing memories that we know will last a lifetime.
