Longtime Truro summer resident Peder Hagberg, his fishing buddy Scott, (from our beloved New Jersey) and sons Max and Jimmy, booked the Nauset for the morning. Mackerel were few and far between in the harbor, but the scenery and seal show made up for it. Off we went around the Great Backside to the water towers where the Stripers have taken up residence. Finally saw our first whale spout of the summer. Peder and Scott brought their own gear and jigged and casted with success. It was an easy day for me with two sharpies on board!
